i was all excited to post my first recipe on the BLOG for
Blueberry Cake.
it is amazing. straight from the Hummingbird Bakery in London.
i started off well.
look at that amazing cake pictured in the background!
things were coming together well. fresh blueberries!
floured the pan nicely
and then the catastrophe. i turned the bundt pan upside down on the cooling rack, and this happened.
what did i do wrong?
this is what i hate with cooking.
when you spend the time, effort and money to make something AMAZING and it turns out not working.
oh well, i'll try again soon and post the SUCCESS on the blog.

This made me laugh! I can't wait to see the success!
Oh my gosh! Did you curse? I would have been so peeved. The batter looked beautiful at least... Thanks for posting your not-quite-success story. The terrible baker in me is happy to see it.
Hey - I'm a new reader. Just found you through Emily's blog (Blueberries Blog) and I've been reading your past posts... love it! My husband and I want to eventually adopt (well, mostly me, but he's getting there more and more everyday) and this is super informative!
Also - I love your writing style and LOVE your etsy shop. :-D
As for your blueberry cake - I HATE it when that happens!! The possibility for "failure" and the clean up after are the two things that keep me from baking a lot of times. What a bummer!!
huh-larious!! hey, we all have these little mishaps in the kitchen... put them in muffin tins next time...you can't go wrong there.
This sorry reminds me of the time you started a small fire in the lighthouse boiling noodles...too funny! I'd say next time test the cakes fineness with a knife...toothpicks sometimes don't go in far enough so you can't tell they are fully done plus baking time varies so much that I wouldn't trust the recipe just check every 5 or so minutes as it get closer to the done time. It does look like an amazing cake can't wait for the recipe. Praying for you all!
Oops I meant this story not sorry...darn auto correct
